Week 8

Here comes the distribution day.  For me, I went for the 17th May distribution day with Street Feeders.  Street Feeders is NGO that organize the charity event and help the needy.  We are required to meet up the roundabout before 9.00p.m.  We reach there around 8.30 but we couldn't find a parking for us to park our car as the place are actually strange for us.  We finally found a parking space after 9.00p.m. and the parking is 10 minutes walking distance away from the meeting point.  When we reach the meeting point is already around 9.20p.m. The others are ready to walk to the place where all the homeless will appear.  There are hundreds of people on that distribution day, and we are divide to different checkpoint.  For me and one of my groupmates didn't follow the pack to walk to some distribution item problem cause miscommunication.  We settle up the problem then we start walking to the checkpoint, but the before the walk there...

Week 7

For this week, is somehow the final week for us to submit all the slips, money and receipt.  With out of expectation, we finally get the amount of the target set by our tutors.  We arranged all the slips and receipt then pass everything to our tutors.  For the money, we are required to pass to group 1 as they are the one who are gonna buy all the items. In this week we are also done with all the sponsorship and donation jobs.  The next is just waiting for the distribution day.

Week 6

At this week,  everything is getting more serious, our tutor told us that we must get at least RM 1200 in this week and all the money must be ready by next week.  This make me and my group are worrying about how to get the donation more as fast as possible.  We also told that if we can't hit the target by next week we might probably fail for this subject, this make us really worry.  We still left RM600 more to hit the target given by our tutors.  We set a target for each person in our group to get another RM 150 as our group have 5 person.  If each person come could find RM 150 by this week then we will hit over the target.  Two of my group mates make a decision that they will ask the money from their family.  This is the worst decision if we really need.

Week 5

This is the week after coming back from my class trip to Ipoh, Perak.  On this week we have discussion about how much we already get for the donation and update everything to ensure that everyone know what is the situation by right.  We are still trying hard to get more donation so that it couldn't effect our schedule.  We have to get the money as fast as possible so that we can start gather all the money for buying the items that is needed for the distribution. The first donation I get is one of my friend taking business course in Taylor's University as well.  He straight away take a RM 50 never even reject me or ask any question about it, maybe this is the trust and the friendship among us.  He also said that RM 50 is the only amount that he can donate and this is what he can help for the homeless.  After looking at his reaction like this I felt touched that there are still kind hearted people like him that are so wi...

Week 4

Here comes the forth week, we still couldn't get any sponsorship items, It's actually a bad sign.  We try harder to get more different type of companies to ask for sponsorship, but this time we open our target to personal so that we at least have cash even if there are no single company that are sponsoring for us.  I called and text few people that I closed to asking for donation.  As we know, there are many scam outside that asking donation but they actually keep those money for themselves.  Some people will just reject, some people will ask about the detail and some people will just insult or say you are trying to scam their money. Some words are really hurt but we have to accept that this is the reality, not everyone are willing to help others and think that they we are trying to scam their money.  For this week, there are just a discussion where and how to get more donation from the public.  We have to tried a...

Week 3

For this week, we are still hoping to get reply from the sponsorship applied. There are few companies replied us.  Some companies thinks that our campaign is too small, so they are not going to sponsor for our campaign.  For Kimberly-Clark, they want us to provide more information to them in term of volume of people we target and the age group that focus only female, so we reply that we target on 300 people and proberly half will be female and the age will be around 30-60 years old. Instead of waiting for other company, we also find new target for sponsorship. Nestle Ora2 Tealive Nestle did reply us immediately but the mail seems like a robot reply says that they will come back to us few days later.   For this week, we also come out with a final solution if we couldn't get any sponsors of item, we will go out and find the sponsorship of cash. We hope that we can make it.

Week 2

Here comes the second week. In this week, we came out with companies that we target and they have the things that we looking for to give out to homeless example like health care tools and others. We list down all the company and start calling every company to ask weather their company are doing sponsorship.  Those company that doing sponsorship will give us the email address and ask us to email to email address given and they will reply us using email. list of company Sofy-sanitary pad [Amanda, Email: Yokepui-wong@ unicharm.com ] Premier tissue paper [Email: Marketing@ ntpm.com.my ] Johnson & Johnson [Jnjconsumercare@ conmy.jnj.com ] Darlie [Email: shayne_lim@ colpal.com ] Dettol [Email:  careline.mu@rb.com ] Pureen [Miss Magedelene Chee, Email: hospteam@ ussummit.com.my ] Spritzer [Email: Info@ spritzer.com.my ] Kimberly Clark (Kleenex, Kotex & Poise) [Phone: 03 7806 8288, Email:  marketing.my@kcc.com ] Amway [myhelpdesk@ amway....
